Todenham Bank is a stone terraced cottage situated in the village of Todenham near to the town of Mareton-in-Marsh in the Cotswolds. The cottage can sleep six people in one queen-size double with en-suite shower, basin and WC, one double with en-suite shower, basin and WC, one twin room as well as a family bathroom. The rest of the cottage is made up of a kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room with an open fire. To the outside of the cottage is off road parking for two cars and a lawned garden to the rear with garden furniture. Todenham Bank is a superb base for a holiday in the Cotswolds.

The small village of Stretton-on-Fosse touches the Gloucestershire/Warwickshire border and a short drive from The Fosse Way but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet making it a good base to tour the Cotswolds. There s a good choice of fabulous local walks so bring the dog they ll love it. Many National Trust properties and gardens are on the doorstep including Hidcote Manor a short drive away. Drive to Moreton-in-Marsh train station for a leisurely journey to Oxford or London not forgetting the beautiful cathedral city of Hereford at the other end of the line. On arrival at the property you will find a useful entrance hall for wellies and coats. The lounge/diner is very welcoming with ample seating a TV/DVD/video. There is also a dining table with space for four diners. The spacious kitchen looks out into the garden and comes equipped with a brand new electric hob and oven a microwave washing machine and a fridge/freezer. Upstairs are the bedrooms a double and a twin. Nearby is a bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC for convenience. Outside is a lovely fenced partially decked garden to the rear that has been landscaped to create a restful retreat with furniture ideal for an early morning cup of tea. To the rear of the cottage is open countryside and to the front lies an open grassed area with private allocated parking opposite the front door.

The property is well-located for exploring the Cotswold s region and beyond with Oxford the Vale of the White Horse and The Malvern Hills all within reasonable driving distance. There is a local pub in the village for those looking for a taste of Cotswold village life and situated between the market towns of Moreton in Marsh (3.5 miles) and Chipping Norton (5.5 miles) there is a large choice of pubs restaurants and cafés at both locations. Trains from Moreton-in-Marsh station connect visitors without cars to the major cities. On arrival at the property you will easily find the large lounge with access to the conservatory and views of the garden and a TV/DVD. There is plenty of comfortable furniture and floor space to spend time socialising with the kitchen/dining area close by featuring two tables each seating eight guests. The kitchen comes equipped with a gas oven and hob two electric ovens a dishwasher a fridge/freezer microwave washing machine and a tumble dryer. On this floor there is also a utility room and two WCs with hand basins. There are also four bedrooms including a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room another with triple single beds and a room with two double zip-and-link beds (which can be made into four singles on request). The fourth bedroom has a single bed. Upstairs on the first floor is the remainder of the sleeping accommodation. . The fifth bedroom has three single beds (which can be made up as a double and a single) with a TV. The sixth is a convertible double or twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Close by is the seventh bedroom containing a double zip-and-link bed (that can be changed to twin singles on request) complete with a wash basin. Finally the eighth bedroom is a smaller affair hosting a triple bunk bed (a double mattress is on the lower bunk). For convenience there are two bathrooms one with a bath shower and WC the other contains a shower over bath and WC. Outside the garden has a BBQ south-facing decking garden furniture outdoor games and a play house for children and a trampoline for hours of fun. There is lots of room to park off-road up to 12 cars.

The house is conveniently located on the main A429 Fosseway road (which can be busy at times) halfway between Moreton-in-Marsh and Shipston-on-Stour and it is just ten miles north to Stratford-upon-Avon for the RSC and all the Shakespearean history you can soak in. Ten miles south is Stow-on-the-Wold the Cotswolds major antiques centre. Two public footpaths lead directly from the house; a 15-minute walk over the road and across the fields to Stretton-on-Fosse and its well-regarded village pub or if a longer walk is on the cards try the trail up the hill behind the house with stunning views to the village of Todenham and another village pub. This tastefully decorated rustic farmhouse is the ideal venue for large groups or extended families boasting shabby chic decor filled with period features and old bathroom fittings. There are two sitting rooms one with a sofa bed and both with character fireplaces and wood burners. One room has a television and the other a video player in case you want to entertain the kids in a separate living room and leave the adults in peace! The huge beamed traditional farmhouse kitchen is very central to the ambience of the house with seating for 15 people - great for entertaining or simply relaxing while someone is in charge of the food! You can also experience cooking on a traditional Aga (with an electric oven and a hob as a back-up). The kitchen is equipped with a microwave a dishwasher fridge and freezer and a washing machine and utility area. There is an en-suite double bedroom on the ground floor with a shower over the bath and a WC and a further bathroom with a shower over the roll top bath and WC. The first floor has two spacious bedrooms one with a king-size bed with an additional single bed and one with a double bed. Both rooms have access to a Jack and Jill bathroom with shower over roll top bath bidet and WC. On the top floor is a further bedroom with a king-size bed and a single bed plus two twin bedrooms and a bathroom complete with a hand-held shower roll top bath bidet and WC. Outside the house is a lovely enclosed courtyard with Wisteria plants a charcoal BBQ and garden furniture. There is a small enclosed garden area laid-to-lawn for the kids. To the front of the house there is enough room to park up to six cars (with high double gates). There is also a decked area with a rose arbour and garden furniture.

There are many country sports nearby including golfing horse riding and fishing. This delightful cottage has a lovely cosy sitting room with a wood burning stove where you can curl up with an interesting book or relax with a glass of wine and watch a movie on the TV/DVD. If staying in for the evening you will find a fully equipped kitchen/diner including an electric oven with hob microwave fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. The dining area has a large farmhouse table seating six. On the ground floor is a double bedroom and ensuite shower room with shower wash basin and WC. Heading up to the first floor you come to a large open landing/study area with a desk on this floor is a double bedroom with an additional single bed on request (for an extra 40 per week or weekend). You will also find a remarkable family bathroom on this floor with traditional free standing bath wash basin and WC. Large French doors in the sitting room open onto a sheltered sun terrace and garden which is fully enclosed making it suitable for dogs and children. With a BBQ (on request) quality furniture and simply stunning views over the fields this is the perfect spot for a countryside escape.
